Majority Garissa County residents still lag behind on civic knowledge. They do not know their responsibilities towards determining their future leaders and also do not know how to engage the duty bearers on governance issues. GMC has in the past undertaken the following:-

• Civic Education. GMC, in liaison with URAIA TRUST, trained Garissa County residents on voting processes, election procedures and offences and devolution
• Advocacy. GMC has been involving in building the capacity of Garissa County residents
