GMC has been at the center of conflict resolution and peace-building interventions in Garissa County. The organization has been able to:-

• Rapid Response Initiative (RRI). GMC successfully carried out 10 rapid responses aimed at arresting escalation of clan fighting in Fafi, Lagdera, Balambala and Dadaab Sub-Counties in Garissa County and Wajir South Sub-County in Wajir County and Garbatula in Isiolo County 
• Construct a mediation center facility in Garissa Town for hosting conflict resolution and peace dialogue initiatives
• Community reconciliation and dialogue. In liaison with the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) GMC conducted community reconciliation dialogue initiative aimed at strengthening social and ethnic cohesions of Garissa County communities
• In 2017 and in liaison with Act Kenya implemented conflict management paneling for Garissa County aimed at fostering August peaceful elections in Garissa County. GMC was able to engage various peace actors and community members on peaceful election behaviors
